Lee Valley Regional Park is London’s biggest open space, a unique mix of sport and leisure facilities, heritage sites, gardens, nature reserves and riverside trails. Stretching over 10,000 acres the Regional Park winds its way 26 miles along the banks of the River Lee from Ware in Hertfordshire, down through Essex, north and east London, past the Olympic Park to East India Dock Basin on the River Thames.

In east London Lee Valley Regional Park boasts a fantastic collection of attractions including:
East India Dock Basin, Tower Hamlets offers fabulous views of The O2 arena. This nature reserve, now a haven for birds and other wildlife has a varied and interesting industrial history. Located close to Trinity Buoy Wharf, home to many of Michael Faraday’s experiments, London’s only lighthouse and a café diner. The area really is a hidden gem.
DLR: East India
The urban oasis of Bow Creek Ecology Park, Newham reopened in 2006 and is buzzing with activity during spring and summer months. Conveniently located close to Canning Town station it’s the perfect place for a picnic and pond dipping, right on the river you can relax and watch the world go by.

Three Mills Island, Bromley-by-Bow is a renowned heritage site with the world’s largest surviving tidal mill. Three Mills Island consists of The Mill House and café (open for guided tours), Three Mills Green and Riverside Green. The site is the perfect place for relaxing or to begin a walk/cycle ride from. You can follow the tow path to the Limehouse Cut or venture north along the Lee Navigation towards Hackney and Leyton.
Tube: Bromley-by-Bow
Tucked behind the Lea Bridge Road in Leyton are six visitor attractions to keep the whole family amused. Whether you want ice skating, horse riding, golf or to discover some of the rare and hidden wildlife at our three nature reserves this area has

As well as these places you can also train alongside Olympic athletes at the Athletics Centre in Edmonton, wonder around glorious gardens in Enfield, cuddle lambs, rabbits and creatures at Lee Valley Park Farms, Essex, marvel at Rye House Gatehouse’s 15th century brickwork in Hertfordshire or camp, canoe, cycle and walk in many places through the Regional Park.

It's so easy to reach Lee Valley Regional Park by bike, car, bus, train or on foot.
