Maritime Greenwich, a World Heritage Site, offers visitors something really distinctive. It boasts a series of spectacular Baroque riverfront buildings designed by Sir Christopher Wren along with some of the city's most charming parkland and unique maritime heritage, all set in wonderful Georgian streets.
One of the best ways to reach Greenwich is on the River Thames as you begin to see how London’s maritime history played such an important part in the history of this city. There are numerous museums, including the National Maritime Museum which is free to visit, year-round events and a chance to hunt for collectibles in Greenwich Market.
