Green Street is east London at its most colourful; spicy reds, cool green, deep sea blue and copper golds. Vibrant and bustling with a great range of boutiques, selling the latest designs of sarees and shalwar kameez. Every colour and fabric is on offer, with the most exquisite embroidery not often seen on western outfits. The finest shoes have matching bijou bags, at unbeatable prices. There are lots of handmade items on sale, with many classic jewellery designs on show.
Three Mills Island is a real hidden gem, comprising a cluster of listed buildings and green open spaces in a conservation area surrounded by the Bow Back Rivers. In the middle of the industrial East End, its main historical buildings comprise of a Grade I listed House Mill, the largest tidal mill in Britain and the Grade II listed Clock Mill and Millers House. It is also home to Three Mills Film Studios so you never know who you may bump into.
